133 days agoOK, I see new videos posted, it's my device/installation that must be malfunctioning. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Live 1.3 a few times, and same thing "Server not found, check your connection". I'm using a Curve 8300 with AT&T's 4.5.0.110.. should I upgrade (latest out there is .174)?.

230 days agoAnthony, the links for the Curve from getn2f.com are not working. I have a BB curve 8330m with Sprint. Next to friends captures black video, and I cant get the live broadcast to work. When you start broadcasting you can see the data flowing for the first 5 secs then it stops. OS and permissions verified. No response from support forums and no tech support. Please help..

458 days agoDefinitely works in the sense that live broadcasts do indeed show up on the site, and downloadable videos follow shortly after completion; but it's never the full video.
As an example, I did a quick test video that was 42 seconds long. Only 16 seconds, however, were uploaded to the site it seems.
In addition, the "Completing" process stopped around 94% and froze; even though the video was already posted on my profile, and I had email in hand saying the video was ready.
Curve on Verizon, if it helps.
Very excited that it's working and live broadcasts are up!. -

458 days agoIt is critical that the streaming instructions be followed at this time in order to ensure full streams. Go to the download page, select your phone, then click the "important instructions" on the download page for the live product. Please send me a message if you further issues...

511 days agoThe VZW and Sprint version is just a few days away... Giving you an update.
As well, there is a new release available for everyone not on VZW or Sprint.
Issues resolved:
Streams cutting short - LIVE
0 key not accepted - SOCIAL
Changes:
After selecting broadcast, you do not need to hit the trackball to start streaming, it will have started automatically. You also do not need to hit the trackball to end your broadcast, just hit the back button...

522 days agoAll current 4.5 versions are now supported. 4.5.0.52, 69 ad 81 over WIFI and GPRS/EDGE.
Important note: Because the BlackBerry video system relies on a media card and is checking for active space so that the device can locally save the video upon stream complete. The length of your stream will be determined by how much space is available on your media card. By default, the BlackBerry devices will save all video locally. You can delete them manually from your media card to gain more space for streaming. The data is always streamed to Next2Friends and saved, but the device itself must know it has enough space to save any video as it is functioning...

522 days agoI am using 4.5.0.81 and it works perfect over WiFi and GPRS/EDGE.
Also, if it helps, here is a listing of most all carriers worldwide, TCP/APN settings, http://www.pinstack.com/carrier_settings_apn_gateway.html
One thing to note, with Blackberrys on T-Mobile, you must use the wap.voicestream.com APN and not the internet2 or internet3 ones...-

523 days agoI have v4.5.0.69 on my Curve. I get the "no connection" message, although hitting the back key a number of times seems to unfreeze it (the trackball didn't). My APN setup is blank. What do I need to do?
Also, I can't seem to get the video broadcast to work. My curve shows the video recorder, but my profile page says "mstrefford is not broadcasting" even when I think I am.
can you help?

523 days agoHere's what's got me stumped. The Live app works just fine on my Curve with 4.5. But the Social app keeps trying and trying it's little heart out and can't seem to connect. Any thoughts?.

523 days agoIt seems that I do have an APN set up. Don't know what it is, but I have one. And the message is "No connection." Then it gets caught in a loop and I have to pull the battery to get out of it..

523 days agoOK, viewed the instructions. It appears that for the VZW users, you have to use the BIS transport since we do not have wi-fi or edge for our Pearls and Curves. We are limited to either BIS or BES transport since our devices are not SIM-card or GSM/EDGE-based but CDMA devices.
Hope this helps some since I'm not a programmer by any means but am used to diagnosing all things technical. . -

Tried changing settings.
No luck.

523 days agoATT/Blackberry appears to only allow 4.2 -- the 4.5 download doesn't install. Used IE, with ActiveX download; no luck. Are there alternate sites with download?.

524 days agoi am *so* happy i found this, if for no other reason than i discovered that there was a version 4.5 of the bberry OS, and even though it took some doing to track it down and get it installed, i just went from a phone that would not take video, to one that will stream video to my blog from anywhere. this *so* rocks. .

The links you have posted here for downloading do not work. I really thought this would be a cool program, but right now it's a pain in the butt. I can't even use it..
