Hello and welcome to my page! I live in Brooklyn, New York with my marvelous wife. We are new to the city, having recently moved from Minneapolis, MN. So far we are loving the mountain of things to do, the 24-hour convenient stores, and the cheap and delicious Sushi delivered right to our door!
I work for Next2Friends as the Content Marketing Director, a job I truly love as it challenges me in all the right ways. I also am a musician and an audio engineer. I have lead two bands to moderate success in the Midwest, one called HanZsolo, one called Hanz Erik and the Hims. Both bands put out a CD, toured regionally, and were featured on dozens of radio stations. We even had a song placed in an independent movie.
Aside from my work with Next2Friends I practice singing, write music and poetry, love to read, camp, travel and spend time with my wife and friends. And I always like meeting new people so drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you!

Rufus Wainwright, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jeremy and Ben Gordon, Chet Baker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Bill Withers, Sarah McLachlan, Ben Folds, Lauren Hill, Paul Simon, Musiq Soulchild, Nick Pichet, Sarah Vaughn, The Shins, Van Hunt, Radiohead, John Legend, The Talking Heads, Andrew Bird, Bach, Mozart..sheesh...the list goes on. I tend to like most music that has been famous. Not because I can't think for myself, but because I usually hear a quality in it that is compelling...the same thing that made it compelling to others.
Nearly anything by Kurt Vonnegut. I've recently enjoyed Haruki Murakami. Poets Phillip Levine, Jane Kenyon, Sharon Olds. I've read so many books and they are only a mere fraction of the books that exist. Too many to list.
I'm very hard to please movie-wise. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is probably my favorite movie as of late. Or anything by Andy Kaufman it seems. I have a very hard filter that movies must make it through. They must be believably written, acted and executed. If anything doesn't land right, or I can see the actors acting or the writing doesn't seem "real" to me then I lose interest. I'm tough. I know it. Part of it might be the fact that I'm sort of in the "story telling business" as a songwriter.
