My Life

My work and life focuses on my children, family and friends and my extended Roma family! I work and spend my time with Roma people in South Yorkshire in what seems to be a constant fight for recognition of the unique cultural heritage, rich history, social context and serial persecution of Roma people. I have also worked extensively with people seeking Asylum and those granted Refugee Status, settled communities and disengaged young people from all social backgrounds. I used to be a singer and dancer specifically within Manchester and hold those days very dear.

I am also an artist who due to work commitments hasn't had time to practice my art for a long time, I am currently on long term leave which includes a personal mission to reclaim my art, sanity and exclusive time with my kids ....and god help anyone who stands in my way :-)

My kids, Art, Culture, people, learning, singing, festivals, getting in the car and going 'somewhere' and more recently going to the gym. I vary between being very self contained and borderline reclusive and social extrovert..depending on the flavour of the moment.Many acquaintances, less friends I totally believe in and those I do are like family to me :-)
